In addition to refreshing Austin City Limits and Central Texas Gardener, I also worked on brand identity for other long-running and new Austin PBS original programs.
Taco Mafia was a docuseries following a group of taqueros in Austin, creating community together and supporting fellow Austinites in their neighborhoods. I worked closely with the Producers to create a brand that felt authentic and appealing but not stereotyped.
Overheard with Evan Smith, a conversational interview program, needed a refresh to distinguish it from other PBS programming, appeal to a broader audience, and expand social and web graphics. Recent seasons have been among the best-attended tapings, following the update.
Austin Insight is Austin PBS's weekly news and feature program, first launched in 2024 (in the midst of Austin City Limits' 50th anniversary!). The timing of launch was a challenge, as was creating a visual identity while the program was determining its voice and message. I worked with our Creative Director to create the brand package and a set for the program in just a few weeks.
